There is a lot we don't know about Alaska right now. She is in a low kill shelter, where she is being treated for HW. She was light positive. As soon as she is done with her treatment Catahoula Rescue Inc. will be needing a temporary foster home who will be committed to her care until she tests negative. It takes a little time sometimes for that test to come in properly. She has undergone her treatment well. She is a pretty girl that is a bit reserved and independent yet warms up and is Catahoula loyal once she settles in with you. We will be adding information here in our effort to save this sweet girl. She gets along with other dogs fairly well. She came in with her littermate or what we believe is her littermate who is also HW positive. Sad when people just neglect to take precaution and dogs pay a price. Both nice girls, not necessarily dependent on each other which is good. They can be fostered and adopted out separate. If you have it in your heart to help a special needs dog, please contact Janeen Jackson, Catahoula Rescue Inc, by email. jj4@midrivers.com
