*************PLEASE ADOPTED ME************** LAIA IS NOW A SHELTER DOG. SHE HAS BEEN IN RESCUE FOR TOO LONG WITHOUT BEING ADOPTED. SHE IS IN NEED OF SPONSORS TO SUPPORT HER LONG TERM CARE UNTIL, IF EVER, A HOME IS FOUND FOR HER. NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. DONATIONS CAN BE IN THE FORM OF ITEMS, GIFT CARDS SENT TO THE RESCUE OR ADVANCES FOR MEDICAL CARE OR MONETARY DONATIONS FOR THESE CLICK OUR DONATION TAB ON OUR PETFINDER.COM HOME PAGE AND FOLLOW THE EASY DIRECTIONS. INDIAN SUMMERS RESCUE DOES NOT PTS FOR REASONS OF DISEASE, PHYSICAL DEFECTS, TEMPERAMENT, AGE, AGGRESSION, HEARTWORM POSITIVE, RETURNED DOGS OR FOR WHAT ARE CALLED UNPLACEABLE DOGS ALL THE REASONS OTHERS DO. HERE ALL LIFE IS PRECIOUS AND ONLY GOD AND THE SOUL ITSELF HAS THE RIGHT TO END A LIFE. FOR THIS REASON WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP IN SUPPORTING THOSE DOGS THAT NO ONE WANTS. SHELTER LIFE IS NOT A HOME OF THEIR OWN WITH A FAMILY OF THEIR OWN. BUT WE DO OUR BEST TO MAKE THEIR LIVES HEALTHY AND HAPPY. AND WITH YOUR SUPPORT WE CAN CONTINUE TO DO THIS. This is Laia, a 4 year old Border Collie/Collie Mix. She is intelligent, funny, affectionate and easily trained. She has been in training and her trainer is available for a consultation. Laia was rescued from Franklin County Dog Pound. She has some wonderful habits. She stays off the furniture, doesn't bark much and doesn't steal or beg for food and is housebroke. She knows several commands: sit, stay, leave it, break, walk, wait and some tricksl She is beginning to learn some agility. She likes the hoop and the tunnel best. Her favorite activity of all is going to the park and being hooked onto a 70 foot training line and chasing soccer balls. She is a big cuddler. She loves dog toys! She will entertain herself with squeaker toys for hours. Laia is UTD on all shots and is micro chipped for identification. Laia is looking for a dog wise responsible home only. LAIA CHOOSES WHO SHE LIKES AND WILL BITE ANYONE THAT PUSHES OR FRIGHTENS HER. SHE IS A WONDERFUL DOG BUT NEEDS A RESPONSIBLE OWNER WHO WILL NOT PUT HER INTO A SITUATION WITH PEOPLE OR OTHER DOGS THAT WOULD MAKE HER RESORT TO USING HER ONLY MEANS OF DEFENSE, HER TEETH. WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE HER IN A SINGLE DOG HOME WITH A RESPONSIBLE ADULT/S. CATS SHE WANTS TO PLAY WITH AND WE OFTEN FIND A CAT NAPPING IN HER CRATE WITH HER. A BUSY TRAFFIC HOUSE OR ONE WITH SMALL CHILDREN WITH THEIR HIGH ENERGY AND NOISE WOULD NOT FIT LAIA'S NEED FOR A CALM SECURE ENVIRONMENT. If you would like information on how you can meet Laia then email or call Indian Summers Border Collie Rescue, Inc. Thank You for considering Rescue. When you adopt from Indian Summers Rescue you are giving a new life and a second chance to a Rescued Dog and you are getting one of God's greatest gifts, The Unconditional Love and True Friendship That Only One of His Animal Children Can Give. Our Adoptable Rescue dogs are taken right from Death Row in any State County Pound or Humane Society or the "Throw Away" often called politely "Owner Turn In" or one that has been Neglected, Abused or Abandoned. Adoption is a process, one of which takes a little time and a great deal of consideration. Adoption is a lifetime commitment no matter what arises. Animals are not pairs of shoes, where you wear them for a few months or a lifetime and decide to throw them out or return them and ask for another. For this and other reasons we require that each potential Adopter first fill out our Pre-Adoption Questionnaire and go through our Adoption Process. Request your Pre-Adoption Application by emailing Animaltalker1@juno.com Please be advised that we do not sell, trade or share your information with anyone. This information is collected only for our needs to better serve you in your adoption process. The more information we have as to exactly what you are looking for and what your requirements are, the better we can match just the right dog to you, your life style and all other family members (human and animal). 23 years in Rescue and watching and learning from others mistakes and successes has helped us grow into todays 60 acre Indian Summers Rescue facility placing 100 plus rescued dogs annually into their forever homes. We are here for Our Rescued Dogs First. We are here to serve and guide You in this most important process called Animal Adoption. We get dogs in each week. We do not always post all dogs in our care. If you are interested in Adopting a Border Collie from Indian Summers BC ResQ then: 1) Request Our Pre-Adoption Questionnaire by emailing us. 2) Remember Patience is a Virtue and Adoption is for a Lifetime, not just till the novelty wears off. We will work for you to find you Your Perfect Match!
